Economy with the truth or staying on preferred behaviours, salary should never ever be discussed in an interview by either party. It should be a post interview if the company is taking it further.
Salary wise what do you need what would you like and what do you desire is a good ladder of measurement. And do not undervalue yourself.
Organisational.culture fit and the opportunity for growth are key.
Lies will always find you out.
Honesty and Integrity, with values, ethics and morals are key qualities for you and any company you work with.
