Professionals are navigating constant shifts — from artificial intelligence reshaping the workplace to evolving return-to-office mandates. And LinkedIn data shows that the skills used in jobs will change by 70% in the next five years, indicating that more shifts are yet to come.
But amid this uncertainty, over half of professionals globally say they are open to pivoting into a new role or industry, and a quarter plan to learn new skills to make it happen. Despite job searches in the UAE becoming more difficult, nearly 75% of professionals are seeking new roles this year, according to LinkedIn data.
That’s where LinkedIn’s fifth annual Top Companies list comes in, highlighting the 15 best workplaces to grow your career in the UAE. Entirely based on LinkedIn data, the methodology evaluates companies on various elements of career progression like how employees are upskilling, getting promoted while at the company and more. You can read more about how we compile the list at the bottom of this article.
The list serves as a resource regardless of what stage you’re at in your career. At each company, you’ll find the top skills, roles and functions in demand. Looking to grow your network? See employees you may know at each company and start a conversation. Ready to start applying? Explore open roles at each company (the majority of which are hiring!) and find your next opportunity.
MY THOUGHTS
I am quite honestly only interested in the home grown companies that make an active contribution to Emiratis and those who were born here or live here contributing to the community and paying forwards.
Those that have a healthy respect for the UAE EMPLOYMENT LAW and operate with emotional, social, generational and cultural intelligence. Adapting agilely to the changing needs in education from KG to Ph.D.
TVET is the way now and KHDA have produced statistics both valid and reliable showing that for every academic graduate there is a need for 10 vocational. Businesses need to catch up and rapidly.
Education needs to be based in the real world and again agile to the environment that children are growing in.
As an active part of an initiative called FUTURE GUARDIANS dedicated to 12-17 year olds we recognised the need to prepare at a very early phase of the career to be journey;
Careers are not always upwards and often sidewards or realignment with our preferred behaviours is the way to go.
The main thing is to be in the right job, at the right time, at the right place, at the right time with the right leader and always remember we are all unique don’t try to be someone else.
